Product Story
This handcrafted wooden piece features Patachitra, a centuries old folk art tradition from Pingla, West Bengal, where the renowned Patua (Chitrakar) artisan community has preserved this storytelling craft for generations. Traditionally, Patachitra combines intricate paintings with folklore, mythology, and cultural narratives, with each artwork reflecting the region's rich artistic heritage.

The art is created through a meticulous process of freehand sketching, fine line detailing, and layered hand painting using intricate motifs and vibrant colors, requiring exceptional precision and patience. Every piece is individually hand-painted by the artisan, ensuring that no two creations are exactly alike, making each one a unique expression of Bengal's living artistic legacy.
