Product Story
This Dokra creation is handcrafted in Bikna Village, Bankura, West Bengal, one of India's most renowned centers of the ancient Dokra metal craft. Skilled artisans from the Dokra (Dhokra) artisan community preserve this centuries-old tradition, passing their craft from one generation to the next.

Each piece is created using the lost-wax casting technique, where a unique wax model is carefully shaped, layered with clay, and fired to form a mold before molten brass is poured in. As the mold is broken after casting, every Dokra artifact is one of a kind, carrying subtle variations that reflect the artisan's hand and the heritage of this timeless craft.
